Today is the first day of Spring. What a beautiful day it was. In the mid fifties, bright and sunny, while birds sang the songs of their tribes. Snow is finally all gone. The green grass is beginning to show through all the brown grass of last year. Soon it will be time to get the lawn mower out for the first time this year. Mow to rid the yard of old grass making way for the new grass.
I welcome Spring with open arms. I know the horribly cold days are behind me. I know soon the flowers will bloom, the garden will be tilled and planted. I feel chipper knowing all these things. The first few months of 2021 was the worst beginning of a new year in years. Decades even. It's nice to finally see the sun rise with such a big smile.
I wish for everyone a very happy Spring. There is that old saying of stop and smell the roses. After Winter hit most of so hard I am ready to stop and smell everything fresh and new.
